Member Terms & Conditions

1. Membership & Eligibility

    • 12-Month Commitment: Membership is for a fixed 12-month term, beginning on the date of registration.
    • Regional Focus: Membership is primarily permitted for businesses operating within the Whitsunday region. 
    • Non-local suppliers: Membership is permitted and listing may be published in a ‘Servicing the Whitsundays’ or ‘Out of Region’ category/page. 
    • Automatic Renewal: To ensure your listing remains active for couples, memberships and membership will renew each year unless cancelled by written notice.
  • No Refunds: Membership fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including if a business ceases operation.

2. Directory Listings & Content

  • Marketing Hub, Not Planners: Members acknowledge that Weddings Whitsundays is an online directory and promotional platform. We do not provide wedding planning or coordination services; these remain the sole responsibility of the individual supplier.
  • Intellectual Property: You must own, or have explicit permission to use, all text and imagery provided for your listing.
  • Listing Accuracy: Members are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their 250-word profile, gallery images, and contact details. Any changes are to be emailed to hello@weddingswhitsundays.com

3. Professional Standards & Conduct

  • Insurance Requirements: All members must maintain current Public Liability Insurance with a minimum value of $10 million AUD. Failure to provide proof of insurance upon request will result in immediate termination of membership without refund.
  • Ethical Conduct: Members must not engage in fraudulent activity, defamation of other suppliers, or illegal use of intellectual property.
  • Business Cessation: If your business stops operating, you must notify Weddings Whitsundays in writing within 30 days. Your listing will be made inactive immediately.

4. Chamber Integration

  • Dual Membership: As an initiative of the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce, your Weddings Whitsundays membership includes full Chamber benefits, including voting rights and access to advocacy and educational resources.
  • Board Oversight: All membership applications are subject to consideration and approval by the Chamber Board.

5. Indemnity

By registering, you indemnify Weddings Whitsundays (and the Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce and Industry) against any losses, costs, or legal claims associated with the operation of your business or your interactions with clients.
